Wedding Photography is a lot of fun and a great way to earn part of my living.
There are lots of wonderful (and not so wonderful) photographers out there competing for the opportunity to be a part of your big day, and why not? Good photography costs a lot of money and we photographers are all looking for ways to stand out from the crowd and get you interested in what we can do. As you browse photographers websites you will be amazed at how many are promising to take 'unique' pictures that 'tell your story'. They will guarantee images that capture those precious moments no-one else sees and talk about the timeless quality of their work.
Here is my perspective:

The fact is that many wedding photographs look very similar from wedding to wedding, and this is understandable. Most weddings follow a similar format: Bride preparation, arrival at church/ceremony location, ceremony, formal pictures, bridal party pictures, reception. Of course there are many variations but in the end the photographer has to shoot whats happening and make sure everything is covered as best they can. The best way for you, as a prospective client to choose a photographer is to meet with them, find out what they are like to spend time with. and look at their work.

You are going to be with this person all day on one of the most important days of your life. They need to be personable, easy going, fun, hard working, and of course very talented. I can't promise that all my pictures will be unique & timeless. But I promise to look for those moments as the day progresses and try to get those special shots whenever possible. The rest of the time I will work hard to get hundreds of great pictures of everything else I see, people, places, flowers, clothing, decorations, details, locations etc. I will listen closely to you and encourage you to suggest pictures you would like me to take. as well as offer you suggestions whenever I see an opportunity to get something special or maybe just different.

Please look at some of my work. If these look like pictures you would be happy with from your wedding, then please give me a call and lets meet.
